Rahan Historical Aqueduct
This ancient aqueduct is located in the central part of Gonabad in terms of its location and site and it extends from the plain of Rahan Village to the villages of Zobeyd and Rochi. Rahan Historical Aqueduct with an approximate length of 24 km has a main stream and a sub branch called Zobeyd and Rochi.
The main well of Zobeyd aqueduct has a depth of 265 meters and the main well of Rochi well has a depth of 282 meters. The main spring of this aqueduct, runs along the central mosque of Rahan, and flows from the south to the southwest; then, a branch of which goes to the agricultural lands of the village and the other branch of which runs toward the south to the agricultural lands of Shirazabad and Rochi villages.
The total length of the aqueduct is 24650 meters, its maximum depth is 287 meters, and the number of wells of this aqueduct is 294. Among all the city's aqueducts, Rahan Aqueduct is located in the second position after the Qasba aqueduct, in terms of the depth of the main well. This aqueduct was registered on the national monuments in 2017.
